Our Guidelines

Toi Toi Charity Ltd trading as Teacher in the Paddock

The following outlines the requirements to participate in our programme.

  • Unless expressly stated, all children and adults may be photographed, and photos used for promotional purposes on our Facebook page, website or other publications such as local newspapers/magazines. The customer (School, Kindergarten, ECE centre, Home Educator group etc.) is responsible for identifying those who are not permitted to be photographed.
  • Part of our programme may include handling livestock in controlled conditions (i.e. hand milking) and children may be exposed to the natural processes of animal husbandry such as animals defecating etc.
  • Children may come into contact with compost, manure or other elements associated with biological farming methods.
  • Children may take part in making butter or ice cream from RAW, UNPASTUERISED dairy and/or poultry products and by-products. As part of the experiential learning offered, children may be invited to taste the milk that they themselves have milked from our grass fed organic house cows, and make/taste butter or other products made from RAW milk. The customer (School, Kindergarten, ECE centre, Home Educator group etc.) is required under food safety regulations to obtain parental consent for children to consume dairy or any other products offered through the programme, and as such is responsible for identifying those who are not permitted to consume any products offered to the group. Toi Toi Charity and Teacher in the Paddock DO NOT SELL or DISTRIBUTE Raw Milk, or any other Dairy Product.

Participating organisations will be issued a GST Invoice by Toi Toi Charity Ltd. This invoice is due on the twentieth day of the month of issue. Toi Toi Charity Ltd reserves the right to charge late payment fees, any collection costs will be the responsibility of the customer. All participants are required to be appropriately dressed – covered in footwear (preferably gumboots), sunhats and raincoats as dictated by general weather conditions at the time.

Weather conditions may result in postponement/cancellation at the discretion of Teacher in the Paddock in consultation with the client.

Acceptance of booking dates and attendance is considered acceptance of our terms of trade. Unless otherwise stated, it is deemed that the organisation represented will be liable for all fees due in association with our programme, and will be invoiced accordingly.

These terms of trade are subject to amendment by Toi Toi Charity Ltd as part of ongoing reviews of our programmes.

Numbers will be limited to 30 children maximum with a limit of 15 parking spaces available. There is no roadside parking, or parking along the shared driveway.
